Chrystofer Davis is a Newark, NJ based award-winning fine art photographer, professor, muralist and filmmaker, whose work is influenced by street/portrait photography and contemporary culture.

During the course of Chrystofer's career he has worked, collaborated, and showcased with world-renowned companies and celebrities, in addition to hosting seminars and lectures. These feats include The New York Times, Disney, The Obama Foundation, ABC News, New York Magazine, Leica Camera, Bloomberg Businessweek, and The Newark Museum of Art to name a few. Additionally, Davis has hosted numerous seminars and lectures on his work.

In 2019, Peerspace noted him as one of The 5 Best Fine Art Photographers in Newark stating of his work documenting the many faces and architecture of Newark, NJ that, “it takes connection and a fine art sensibility to do more than simply show subjects milling about, yet Davis easily communicates a complex vision of humanity through everyday living and chance encounters. His oeuvre gives voice to people who may otherwise have no real link to the arts. Aside from creating thoughtful pieces, his efforts also include running workshops on the necessity of keeping film and developing going despite the digital revolution.’’

In 2023, Davis received the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship Award in the photography category. His works are currently archived in prominent institutions such as The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The Newark Public Library, The Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tufts University and The Bronx Museum.
